| I guess you guys have probably aedraly noted these connections, but here are some more:1. The deaths at the end of Watchmen are reported by the news media in the world of Watchmen as being caused by a fourth dimensional creature being teleported into the Institute for Extra Spatial studies. Both anomalies involve a flash of white light which engulfs all the people. I wonder if the island is a kind of fourth dimensional creature or entity that has somehow intersected with this world?? I think Alan Moore (the author of Watchmen) at the end of From Hell, his take on Jack the Ripper, poetically described the Ripper as a fourth dimensional entity that linked across time periods. Maybe this is what has happened with Jacob and the island.2. The scientists on the secret island in Watchmen are killed by an explosion on a freighter, that looks alot like the freighter we have seen in Season 4, one that is also lined with explosives.3. The Dr. Manhattan character and Desmond are both unstuck in time in a similar way, although there are important differences too. |
