"The legality of these preecduros can be debated"I'm no expert on this but as far as I know if you remove the DRM from the music then its illegal but if you use an application to play and re-record the music its not(it's forgiveable at least), most DRM removal software uses this technique anyway. Someone will have to look deeper into that and I guess it's different in different countries.I wish music publishers would realise that DRM is completely useless, if the music can be played the DRM can be removed and it only takes one to have it up on the torrents. I would use Ruckus but as it requires Windows I'll have to pass. There's quite a few services that let you download music with an ad embeded at the begining/end, I'd find removing that much easier than having to load up windows and remove the DRM but It's mostly indie stuff. http://qczwkuna.com kvfqxji [link=http://etxvkp.com]etxvkp[/link] |

This review is from: Latte Espresso 16 GB Video MP3 Player with Haptic G-Sensor and Touchscreen (Metal Gun) (Electronics) I bguoht this player to upgrade from my 4gb iRiver LPlayer, which is also a good player, just wanted more gb.A previous review mentioned the pros and cons I've also found, so I won't repeat. There was just one area I had trouble with, and that was reading text. The manual states they have to be txt ANSI format, but the player would only display a few pages and not the entire document. After much trial and error, I found that the text file needs to be in Unicode format instead. To convert, I simply opened the text doc in Notepad and saved as txt Unicode. I found no information anywhere ref others with this same problem. Edit 092409: I found that I must turn off the screen rotation while reading text. When the screen rotated, the document went back to the beginning. The FM transmitter is as good as stated in a previous review. It works great, definitely a benefit. The unit vibrates when you touch a button, which is cool, but that function can be turned off. The screen rotation can be turned off also. It also offers different desktop backgrounds, but you cannot use your own photo as the background.I was able to load my .avi movies right onto the player without converting them. You may want to make them a smaller file, if you're concerned about space. (My iRiver came with conversion software that makes the movies 320 240. This size worked pretty well on the Espresso, too.)I would definitely recommend this product. |
