| Amazing!!! What a work of art! Classics such as the FC have that certain stnhoeimg that other modern boats will never have ..in addition to sailing like a dream. I just got back from Key West harbor where in addition to the gaudy mega yachts, there are a number of classic wooden schooners that make the heart leap into your throat. Why hasn't industrial design evolved in boating, as it has in other industries? Other than mobile devices (think iPhone, etc) we seems to have lost the Form And Function aspiration. Instead, Function and Cost seems to rule our lives. Yes, I know I'm sounding a little Pollyanna, but it used to be that designing beauty into a tool, was equally as important at the function of that tool. Have we lost our Soul?? |
